Responsibilities:

Mainspring Energy is growing rapidly and beginning to manufacture its Linear Generators, and reliability is a crucial element to the success of the product. This role would be responsible for diagnosing the cause of electrical enclosure failures. In this role you will:

• Use RCA principles to determine root causes of failures

• Maintain accurate records for FA, update with relevant information

• Documenting progress and learning curves

Qualifications

• Proficient with oscilloscope, DMM, WIndows PC

• Be able to read schematics, IC datasheets, and other documentation.

• Passion for electrical engineering/learning of E.E. fundamentals

Preferred not required:

• Familiarity with command prompt, basic python/BASH writing and executing
• Basic knowledge of PCBA rework, through-hole and SMD components

The Bay Area hourly wage for this role is $31 - $42 pre-IPO stock options benefits. This position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The hourly wage will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
